Consider This. 05.29.16

I tried this packing method during my recent trip to Guatemala, and somebody mistook it for a bundle of terror. I found my bag had been searched after I had checked it on my return flight, so TSA didn’t like anything about this. LOL! #TYFLMS

Off the Beaten Path

Thank you for letting me share… my totally great kayaking, swimming and cliff diving afternoon on Lake Atitlan, in clear, aqua green water. I booked the “Off the Beaten Path” tour through Viator, and it was offered by Los Elementos Spa and Adventure. #tyflms

The detangling that happened after these happy moments… UGH! But worth it! #tyflms

Elaine, one of the owners of Los Elementos, was difficult to pin down. She was so helpful in preparing me for the water: sunscreen water shoes and a Ziploc for my phone. #tyflms

There’s our double. I forgot to eat breakfast (too excited) so I did not want to get caught on the water with my energy winding down. #tyflms

To hail a water taxi, stand on your dock and wave, wave! #tyflms

The only time I wasn’t paddling was when I snapped these pics. LOL! #tyflms

You can design your own day. I was only limited by my imagination, energy level and set-up ankle. I would definitely take this tour again, and it could be completely different. #tyflms

This photo is after we shared and affirmed our dreams, swam in the clear, green waters and jumped from the cliffs lining the lake. #tyflms

Set to Sail Lake Atitlan

Thank you for letting me share…my approach to Lake Atitlan. After the two-hour ride from Antigua, I met with Samuel, one of the guides from Los Elementos Spa and Adventures. We boarded a water taxi to begin our kayaking journey on the lake. #TYFLMS

From the winding roads, I finally started to see the vast lake and the volcanoes surrounding it.

I arrived in Panjachal, met with Sam and boarded a water taxi. Here is the view looking back at the docks of Panjachal

Dreaming of Doha: A Night Sponsored by the Phillips Collection

Thank you for letting me share…Images from the Dreaming of Doha event sponsored by the Phillips Collection and held in the Dock 5 space at Union Market. #dreamingofdoha #TYFLMS

A video game nook gave you classic games like Super Mario Brothers and Pac-Man to relive back in the day glory. #dreamingofdoha #TYFLMS

The henna artist was in high demand, but able to beautify a variety of body parts. Traditional-styled lanterns decorated the room. #dreamingofdoha #TYFLMS

Four falcons were perched at the back of Dock 5 for our viewing pleasure, and wranglers managed their interaction with attendees. This guy, though helmeted, was good for a subliminal side eye. #dreamingofdoha#TYFLMS

Live painting in progress. Artists worked throughout the evening to create a roughly 4×6 ft mural (that I forgot to capture at the end of the night LOL) #dreamingofdoha #TYFLMS
